Where Sony Need to Improve?

This is the age of advancement of development. New technology is replacing the older ones but still there are areas which need a lot of improvement. This new advancement has taken the smartphone world into its whirl. This advancement has greatly improved the user experience and today we will talk about one of the leading smartphones manufacturer Sony and will talk about the areas where need to improve. Yes, still there are areas where Sony is not as good as other manufacturers and this may be the reason why Sony is not able to get better of the Samsung and HTC.

Today when everyone is using AMOLEDS and IPS LCD Sony is still using simple LCD panels. Though Sony have introduced a new triluminous technology but to be honest it still not as good as AMOLEDS. The major issue with Sony display is poor viewing angles and this has certainly pissed off many users. In order to analyze the issue with Sony display panels just put a Sammy device beside Sony Xperia device and you will notice how good Sammy display panels are. Well, colors may look artificial at times on AMOLEDS but overall performance is pretty good.

Now moving on to the next major issue with Sony devices, the loud speaker performance of Xperia devices is below par. Yes, this is true. Even a low end Nokia mobile has a better loud speaker performance than any other Waterproof Sony device. Well, you always have to pay some cost for some additional feature. But I am sure most of you do not want this waterproof feature at the cost of below par loudspeaker performance.

And if we take a close look then we will realize that Sony has done nothing to improve in this area. This is certainly quite annoying. It is the right time that Sony must sit down and think about these issues because they are very serious. 

Sony Vaio Windows Mobile All Set to Hit Market!

In last post we broke out a rumor that Sony is in talks with Microsoft to launch a couple of new Sony Xperia Windows Mobile Phones this year. Well, now it is crystal clear that Microsoft and Sony has come on the same ground and we will definitely see a couple of new Sony Xperia Windows mobiles this year. Microsoft’s Windows Phone director Greg Sullivan has confirmed that Sony will be releasing its own WP smartphone in 2014.

The best part is that this device will hit the market in the mid of 2014 so we do not have to for ling to get our hands on Sony Xperia Windows mobile. It would be interesting how Sony will play with WP8 and what new features will it bring to this potentially good platform. At the moment Nokia is the champion in WP8 and we can expect some good competition with the inclusion of Sony in this race.

Interestingly Sony will stick with Vaio brand name as far as Windows mobile phones are considered. So, we will not see Sony Xperia windows mobile rather will see Sony Vaio windows mobile. It would be interesting how this Vaio brand names goes for the mobile devices. We all know Vaio is the most popular laptops brand but it would be hasty to say that Vaio brand name would go well with the Mobile devices.

As you know Microsoft provides very few customization offers to Smartphones manufacturers. SO, we can expect some exclusive features line Music unlimited and video unlimited would help Sony Vaio Windows phones to stand out in the competition. For Sony it is very important that they come up with some great exclusive features if they really want Sony Vaio Windows phones to be successful in the market. Otherwise they will fail just like HTC and Samsung.

All in all this deal is good for both Microsoft and Sony because Microsoft is also looking to expand its market shares in the smartphone industry and they really need the support of manufacturers like Sony. So, what you are expecting for Sony and Microsoft partnership? Have your say here!

Can We Expect Sony Xperia Windows Phones?

We all heard rumors regarding the Sony Mobile going for WP8. Until few days back they were all rumors and now they have some strong base. Yes, Sony Mobile head for Europe, Pierre Perron confirmed that Sony is in talk with Microsoft for launching Sony Xperia Windows Mobile this year.

According to him Sony do not want to be a single mobile OS manufacturer. Hence they are in talk with Microsoft and expect to launch a couple of Sony Xperia Windows phone this year. Previously Sony Ericsson was involved with Microsoft and manufactured a couple of Sony Xperia windows phone and now they want to start partnership with Microsoft and come up with better WP8 devices.

Sony’s corporation with Microsoft is nothing new. Sony is working with Microsoft for years now and is one of the leading laptops manufacturer in the market. Sony’ laptop brand Vaio is quite popular all over the world.

Till now it seemed that this Sony Xperia Windows mobile is just a rumor and it will die with time but now after the confirmation from a reliable source all we can say that it is just not a rumor. We all can expect something big from in the coming months. Sony Xperia Z is the latest flagship device of Sony which was released earlier this year. In terms of design and build quality it is the best available high end smartphone but when it comes benchmarks and hardware Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One are better. Lately, I was looking for a high end smartphone for myself which could suffice my every need. I am basically a type of person who needs a huge battery backup because I browse on the Internet a lot. I also listen to music, play games and make 2 to 4 calls a day. I started my search and asked a lot of people regarding the perfect smartphone. I was a bit confused which device to buy from S4, HTC One and Xperia Z. Finally, I made a move and bought Xperia Z. I must say I am highly satisfied with this high end smartphone and here are few important reasons which will definitely compel you to buy this beautiful design.

Design:

Xperia Z is certainly the best device in the market considering its design and build quality. Sony has done a great job in giving this smartphone a perfect premium quality look and feel. Both front and back panel of this device are made from glass which gives it a premium look and feel. To be honest it was one my priorities when I was looking for a perfect smartphone because previously I was using SIII and its design and build quality always irked me.

Water Proof:

It is the only smartphone which is water resistant. Both S4 and HTC One lack this unique feature. So, obviously this great feature separates Xperia Z from the other two devices. When I bought Sony Xperia Z I was reluctant to try water resistance test but a friend of mine forced me and I gave it a try. And to my surprise it passed the test. I was ecstatic at that moment xD

Battery:

Samsung S4 has a huge battery and one can expect it to perform better than Xperia Z I terms of battery backup. My friend owns Samsung Galaxy S4 and I performed some tests on both Xperia Z and S4. I tested stand by and browsing battery backup. I was surprised to see that Xperia Z out classed S4 in browsing battery test whereas Samsung Galaxy S4 performed better in standby mode. However, you can increase the standby mode of Xperia Z by using stamina mode.

Social:

We all use Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites. So, it is appreciated if we could get all updates under roof. Sony’s Social app is certainly the best application which offers the great social networking experience and keeps you updated with your social networking updates along with news. Unfortunately, it is only for Xperia devices. HTC One’s blinkfeed is another good option but it consumes a lot of battery. With the latest update Sony has improved their Social application a lot.

Walkman App:

Music is must for me and for that I want easy to use yet catchy app. I am highly impressed with Sony’s Walkman application. It is intuitive, attractive and very easy to use. I can easily navigate between Artists, Songs and Albums. Though it may not offer some interesting features like Samsung’s music app but still it is better in terms of user interface.

These are the major reasons which certainly make Sony Xperia Z better than both Samsung S4 and HTC One. I hope you will agree with me here.

Sony Teases with a New Honami Leak

We all know that Sony is all set to launch a new device on 4^th, September 2013. A lot of hype has been created even before the launch of this new Sony Smartphone which according to Sony is #BestofSony. Sony is keeping consumer on their toes with various leaks. Sony has recently released a video teaser of their upcoming flagship.

Moreover, there have been various alleged leaks which have made people hell excited about the new Sony Smartphone. People have high hopes from this new device. Actually, people are looking forward to its 20 MP camera which is supposed to pack the Sony’s professional camera sensor. All these are still rumors because nothing has been confirmed by Sony.

In order to create buzz on the web Sony has once again floated the Power Button of Sony Honami also known as Xperia Z1 on twitter with the caption #BestofSony. The power button is similar to what other Sony devices have but it is completely made from Aluminum and looks amazingly beautiful.

This once again has teased a lot of Sony fans especially those who are eagerly waiting for the launch of this new device. This new image of Sony’s Xperia Z1 power button has become viral on the Internet.

We are just 6 days away from the Sony’ official event where they will officially launch this mysterious device till then we just have to keep our hope alive with these alleged rumors and some official teasers. However, one thing is clear that Sony is going to launch something better than their previous flagship Xperia Z. So, it is definitely going to be something really big.
