Nokia First Android Mobile: Nokia Normandy to be Called Nokia X

We all know that Nokia is planning to launch Nokia First Android Mobile (if rumors are to be believed) to launch the first Android handset which is allegedly known as Nokia Normandy. Today, we heard from a famous insider Eveleaks that Nokia Normandy will be officially launched as Nokia X. His tweet was: “Nokia Normandy = Nokia X”. This possibly means that Nokia Normandy will be officially launched as Nokia X. Well, we cannot challenge his abilities because majority of his leaks are spot and this is the reason why he is so popular.

We even announced that if Nokia first Android phone; Nokia Normandy is ever going to be launched then it will be announced during the Mobile World Conference. Well, now Nokia has even planned its event for Mobile World Conference which is going to be held next month in Barcelona. So, one can expect that Nokia will certainly launch the Nokia X in this event.

After going through the leaks and looking at the images of the user interface it can be said that Nokia X runs on highly customized Android version which is going to be first of its kind. Moreover, we even know that Nokia Normandy is low end device running on Android KitKat 4.4 and FWVGA display with a normal screen resolution. We even know that Nokia First Android Mobile; Nokia Normandy is a dual sim mobile which will definitely be targeted for the developing markets like Asia where the demand for such cheap yet good mobiles with dual sim capabilities re very popular.

Nokia even released its financial report for Q4 2013 and it clearly showed that Nokia sale dropped significantly. The major concern is that Q4 was a holiday season (Christmas and New Year) and even then Nokia Lumia series failed to make huge profit. This is a clear sign that people are no too much excited by the WP8 and this is the time when Nokia must act in order to stay in the business. The loss in Q4 hints that Nokia is planning a backup to stay in the business and if we see around then Nokia Normandy aka Nokia X seems to be the perfect backup.

The interesting part is that we haven’t heard anything from Nokia yet. Even though there multiple leaks regarding Nokia X but still Nokia is silent and has not released single official statement. Does this mean something is cooking inside? Is it Nokia First Android Mobile? Or Nokia is busy in working on some new operating system which is Android look alike?

Having said that it seems quite hard to believe that Nokia will launch an Android phone after selling its mobile department to Microsoft. We know there are multiple questions in your mind and all doubts and questions will finally fall to rest after the Nokia’s event at MWC 2014 next month.

Snapchat gets Hacked After One hour of the Security Update Rollout

It could not have get more worse for the developing team of the popular Snapchat application. A security update was released and interestingly it got hacked few hours later.

Lately, Snapchat has come under huge fire since the data of 4.6 million snapchat user has been leaked on the Internet. It was a great setback for the company as they believed that it is the highly secured social networking site.

In order to improve the level of security they released the new security update which was supposed to distinguish the bots from the normal users thus ensuring a high level of security. The company believed it will help them in improving the level of security and will eventually put a barrier to hacking. The main purpose behind this update was that bots will not be able to identify the ghosts thus they will fail to retrieve the user data.

Actually, ghosts are snapchat images which help in distinguishing the bots from actual users. According to hacker Steven Hickson, he has developed a toll which can allow bots to identify the ghosts by matching key areas and points. Well, the issue is that these ghosts or snapchat images does not change continuously. SO, it is very easy to create tool which can quite easily identify the ghosts. This makes the application and more vulnerable.

It is not only hacker Steven Hickson who has raised voice against the low security level of the snapchat but a 17 year old hacker from Texas has also claimed that snapchat has very security level and this will not be fixed with any update until and unless they do not work on improving the basics of this application. To be honest this is a serious concern for all the snapchat users and they look towards the developers for the fix.

Let’s wait and see how much time it will take for the developers to improve the security. Will they ever be able to make the system more secure and protected? Or they will fail just like they did this time?

Sony Xperia Z Ultra Wi-Fi only Version Tablet is Set to launch in Japan

Sony Xperia Z Ultra Wi-Fi only version
When we first heard about Sony Xperia Z Ultra we were quite surprised to see that it crossed all the boundaries of a true phablet. No one ever tried to cross the 6 inch barrier for the phablet and it was interesting to see Sony launching a phablet with 6.4 inch screen size. However, this device has finally entered the world of tablets officially.
We heard numerous rumors regarding Sony working on the Wi-Fi only version of the Sony Xperia Z Ultra version. According to an official announcement Sony Xperia Z Ultra Wi-Fi only version will hit the shelves in Japan on 24th January. This device is priced as ¥52,000 (~$499) in Japan and there is no news that whether it will be launched globally or it is exclusive for Japan.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra Wi-Fi only Version Specifications:

We all know how well Sony Xperia Z Ultra did and it was all due to the great processor and huge battery backup. Sony have stick with the same specifications for Sony Xperia Z Ultra Wi-Fi only version and to be honest on the paper this is the best tablet available in the market.
Sony Xperia Z Ultra Wi-Fi only version packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 8 MP primary shooter, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory and Adreno 330 graphics processor. On paper these specs look pretty good and looking at the present market you will not get any tablet with such great specifications. Sony Xperia Ultra Wi-Fi only version will get its juice from 3050 mAh battery and Sony has worked a lot on improving the software side to get the most out of this battery.
Well, the downside is that it will come out with Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and will be updated to Jelly Bean 4.3 and KitKat 4.4.1 with the updates which will follow very soon.
The interesting part is that it comes with 8 MP primary shooter without flash and this is what qualifies this device for the tablet region. Because as we all know all tablets lack a good camera but here the issue is that we do not have flash which will hamper the lowlight or night images.  However, the overall quality of camera in the daylight is pretty good and you will certainly love the way it performs in the daylight.

Talking about the market strategy Sony adapted for this is very interesting. Sony has now officially used the word tablet for Sony Xperia Z Ultra Wi-Fi only version. Sony played its card at the right time because right now no new tablet is available in the market and we do not expect a new tablet launching in next two months. This is in fact a great marketing strategy Sony opted for. This is the best time to make huge sales.

Samsung Galaxy S5 will Launch on 23rd Feb

Truly speaking 2014 has been the year of leaks so far. We have come across multiple leaks regarding Nokia Normandy, Sony Vaio Windows phone and Google Nexus. And here we are once again going to talk about one of the most anticipated devices of the 2014, the Samsung Galaxy S5. According to our sources Samsung Galaxy S5 will be launched on 23rd February. First we heard that Samsung has planned to launch this new device in March which was even backed by the VP statement. After few days we heard Samsung has decided to launch Galaxy S5 at Mobile World Conference, 2014 which was later turned down by a statements from a Samsung senior representative.

According to the latest new, Samsung will hold a special event on 23rd February in Barcelona where they will unveil Samsung Galaxy S5. Moreover, we also heard that this new device will be available in the market in April mid which seems to be a good marketing tactic because at that time no other company will be launching its flagship device and Samsung will have a great chance to cash in on this opportunity of making good business in the market.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Specifications:

Well, we also heard that Samsung Galaxy S5 will come out with retina scanner which was turned down by the statement from an official. Now we know that Samsung Galaxy S5 will come with fingerprint scanner just like iPhone 5S. This new finger print scanner will certainly help in improving the device security and will offer a great user experience to the people. As we know that Samsung is working on the new generation Touchwiz. So, this is expected to hit the markets with Samsung Galaxy S5 and will follow other devices with an update. This is indeed a great step taken by Samsung because it is user interface which makes Galaxy series look dull in front of HTC and Sony.

Samsung Galaxy S5 will launch in two different versions. First one will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 chipset and the other will have the latest next generation Samsung’s Exynos chipset. Moreover, Samsung Galaxy S5 will pack a 3GB RAM which means you will be able to enjoy top notch user experience with lots of RAM available. Moreover, you will be able to capture photos with 16 MP primary camera and 2 MP secondary camera. It is also reported that Samsung is working really hard to improve the IOS feature which will certainly aid in taking motion images with great details. To add to the joy GalaxyS5 will have 3,000mAh battery and Samsung has greatly enhanced the software to get the most out of this battery.

However, these are just few speculations. We will have to wait till 23rd February to see what Korean manufacturer has in store for us.

President Obama: A 3rd party will review the data collected by the NSA

The US government has taken interest in the NSA scandal. President Barack Obama made an announcement that a third party would view all the data that is collected through the NSA surveillance. Barack also announced an end to  the collection of data “in-bulk” .

The third party who will be entrusted with the public data collection is however, yet to be named. In his speech with regards to the matter, President Obama didn’t exactly announce that the NSA’s surveillance of US Citizens has come to stand still, he made promises as to how the data would be collected by the agency.
High priority is being placed to make certain that the NSA does not abuse the data collection and that the public info wouldn't be accessed by the nefarious sources.

President Obama vowed that the methods used by the NSA would be closely monitored by a number of agencies, which agencies’ reports would then be made available to the public.

President Obama also vowed that there would be a close scrutiny of the NSA’s surveillance methods by varying agencies, and that the said agencies would make their reports available to the public. The name of the game seems to be availability and openness of the NSA’s methods. However, a majority of the new surveillance policies haven’t been publicized, President Obama said that tapping into phone number “that are two steps removed from a terrorist organization” would be the main target for the NSA.

The president, in addition to assurances to earning the American people’s trust again said that the initiatives taken by the NSA were, a preventative measure of a repeat of September 11th, with the goal being the monitoring of terrorist activity. Obama mentioned that along the way, there would be reforms and that the aforementioned initiatives were an ongoing process.

Following the surveillance scandal, it may be difficult for the American people to trust the President, the NSA and the US Government. The mistrust is bigger in the wake of rumours that Apple was closely working with the NSA to give them access to user’s phones.

Google May Launch Intel Based Nexus 8

Nexus
According to our sources Google may decide to quit the Nexus 7 for Nexus 8 in 2014. Well, this may come out as a huge surprise to many but after looking at the market competition and other 7 inch tablets available in the market it may appear that it is more of a business tactic from Google. Actually, there are multiple manufacturers offering budget 7 inches tablets and this has in fact bothered manufacturers like Google. And according to latest leaks it is expected that Google will ditch the Nexus 7 in favor of Nexus 8.

Moreover, the demand of next generation Nexus 7 is not as higher as it used to before. So, this has also played a major role and has forced Google to think over it. You can find brands like Asus, Samsung, Amazon Kindle Fire and many others in Walmart fighting in the 7 inch zone. And when you look at the competition you will only iPad mini and LG G Pad 8.3. If you analyse the market properly you will come to conclusion that it was the very reason Apple decided to go for an 8 inch iPad mini.

Moving ahead with the leaks, it is also expected that Google will go for Intel based processor. Though nothing has been finalized yet but Google opt for the latest Intel mobile hardware instead of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon. This does not mean that Qualcomm is out of the race. It is still going to be a tough competition between Intel and Qualcomm but our leaks suggests that we possibly see an Intel based Nexus 8 in2014.

It’s just the start of 2014 and we are having multiple leaks for different manufacturers. We will have to wait for some more time before we could get some legitimate news regarding Intel Based Nexus 8. So, keep your fingers crossed and see what Google has in store for you.
