WP8 is new yet popular operating system but for some reason it did not have the official instragram for Windows phone application. Instragram users were forced to use some third parties applications which lacked some basic features. So, the launch of an official application was inevitable.
The development team of Instagram for Windows phone wanted to launch the official app as soon as possible so people can enjoy the basic features of this social networking site on Windows Phone.
