What is WhatsApp Last Seen?

As you use the WhatsApp platform you may have noticed a ‘last seen’ notice next to a particular contact in your WhatsApp group. You may be wondering what it means. As the name suggests, it means the last time that your contact was last on the WhatsApp platform. It is an indication of when the person last actively opened and used the WhatsApp application. However, there are few instances where the person’s device network connection or operating system will automatically connect to the platform without the person’s input. At such moments, the person checking out when the other person was seen online will assume that the time shown is actually accurate and yet the other person has not in actual sense been on the platform! This can cause unwanted tension as to what most of us know as ‘WhatsApp last seen Checker’ is bringing confusion by showing someone was actually active on the WhatsApp platform at a given time and yet they weren’t!
The same scenario may apply for the ‘online’ status. When you notice the ‘online’ status on your contact’s profile, it technically means that the person has actually opened their WhatsApp app and is connected to the internet. However, once again, this may not necessarily be the case which may cause you to wonder why messages sent are not being replied for example. There may be times when messages may be sent and delivered and the receiving party doesn’t read them even though they are actually online. This is where a double-check sign against the message comes into play as it is meant to indicate that a message has been read. Unfortunately, there are also instances when the other party receive a notification of the message sent and reads bits or all of it without actually opening which will not result in the double-check feature.

Besides the launch of the Galaxy S7, there is also rumor going around that the Edge S7 will also be released on the same day but that remains to be seen.

Design and Specifications

There are no major rumors of the Samsung Galaxy S7 price in Pakistan but there are plenty of rumors of the phone’s design and specifications. There are predictions that as per usual, the design could take on a flat or curved edge as Samsung’s phones have been known to have in the past.
There is a possibility of two variants being released with one of them (SM-G930) taking on a flat display while the other (SM-G935) taking on a dual-edge curved display. Rumor also has it that the S7 looks quite similar to the S6 although some speculate that the Samsung Galaxy S7 price in Pakistan will be slightly lower than the Galaxy S6 if the phone is to be competitive with other phone models in the market-although the actual price remains to be seen.
The phone will probably come with a Micro-USB, a slim camera, and possibly a water resistant microSD slot.

There is also rumor that there may actually be two variants released with one being powered by the Qualcomm processor and the other being powered by an Exynos 8890 processor.

Considering that the SGS6 batter had its issues, there is hope that there will be improvements with the SGS7. Rumor has it that the phone will probably come with a 3000mAh battery while the S7 Edge will probably come with a 3600mAH battery. Wireless charging is also a possibility with the new release.

The camera on the S7 is expected to be a 5 megapixel front-facing with a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera.

Where Sony Need to Improve?

This is the age of advancement of development. New technology is replacing the older ones but still there are areas which need a lot of improvement. This new advancement has taken the smartphone world into its whirl. This advancement has greatly improved the user experience and today we will talk about one of the leading smartphones manufacturer Sony and will talk about the areas where need to improve. Yes, still there are areas where Sony is not as good as other manufacturers and this may be the reason why Sony is not able to get better of the Samsung and HTC.

Today when everyone is using AMOLEDS and IPS LCD Sony is still using simple LCD panels. Though Sony have introduced a new triluminous technology but to be honest it still not as good as AMOLEDS. The major issue with Sony display is poor viewing angles and this has certainly pissed off many users. In order to analyze the issue with Sony display panels just put a Sammy device beside Sony Xperia device and you will notice how good Sammy display panels are. Well, colors may look artificial at times on AMOLEDS but overall performance is pretty good.

Now moving on to the next major issue with Sony devices, the loud speaker performance of Xperia devices is below par. Yes, this is true. Even a low end Nokia mobile has a better loud speaker performance than any other Waterproof Sony device. Well, you always have to pay some cost for some additional feature. But I am sure most of you do not want this waterproof feature at the cost of below par loudspeaker performance.

And if we take a close look then we will realize that Sony has done nothing to improve in this area. This is certainly quite annoying. It is the right time that Sony must sit down and think about these issues because they are very serious.

Keep Your Android Device Safe from Trojan.Droidpak

With the advancement and development as our security systems are getting better and better hackers are working on coming with viruses and malwares which could break into highly secured system. To be honest, it is not possible to come up with a system which could stand against the latest viruses and malwares. This is mainly because hackers are always improving their malwares and viruses.

Lately, we heard from Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing, Phil Schiller that almost 99% of malwares are targeted at Android. Your Android device can be injected with virus in many ways and one of the most popular way of injecting Android device with virus is through computer. Yes, you heard it right! Whenever you connect your device with your desktop or laptop there is possibility that your device might get injected with some malware of virus.

Symantec revealed a sneaky trick of infecting your mobile with virus. According to Symantec when you connect your Android with computer and sync it then a malware named, Trojan.Droidpak, creates a version of Goolge playstore as long as your device is in USB debugging mode.

Moreover, Symantec also revealed that this Trojan when installed in your device looks for the Korean Bank based application. This malware automatically deletes the official applications and create fake applications. This means next when you use the application for banking purpose in the infected device, your banking information is leaked.

This sound too serious but according to Symantec this can be avoided by following few important steps which as follow.
  1. 1.      Users must turn off the USB debugging mode of their Android device when not in use.
  2. 2.      Users must not synchronize their Android mobile device with unknown PC as this can result in some serious consequences.
  3. 3.      Users must install security software such as Norton Mobile Security in order to avoid this malware.

All of the above mentioned steps are very important. Hhowever, at times we tend to ignore installing mobile security applications just because we think they take extra space and RAM. Well, they do take some extra memory and RAM but at the same time they ensure that your device stay safe from such malwares and torjans.

Sony Vaio Windows Phone to Hit Markets in May?

A lot of rumors are going around on the Internet regarding Sony Vaio Windows Phone. Few days back we heard that Sony is trying its best to launch the first WP8 mobile and for this they were discussing the possibility with Microsoft. And at the end it went well and it was decided that Microsoft will offer Sony 500m to manufacture at least one Sony Vaio Windows Phone.

According to the latest rumors Sony is planning to manufacture 2 Sony Vaio Windows Phone which will most probably hit the market at the end of May 2014. One of the device is supposed to be a high end WP8 mobile and other one is low end device which will target the developing markets like Asia.

Moreover, Sony has decided to go with the famous Xperia Omni balance design for the WP8 mobile. Sony design and build quality will definitely attract the users because at the moment there aren’t enough good looking devices. Though Nokia Lumia series is quite popular but Sony’s omni balance design will look much more attractive to the people.

From an insider the high end WP8 mobile from Sony will come with Snapdragon 800 quadcore processor and 1080p screen. At the moment, only Nokia is offering a quadcore device with 1080p device but it is more like a phablet. So, this new high end Sony device will certainly sell like hot cakes in the market. Moreover, Sony is planning to include some exclusive features like music unlimited and video unlimited. Since, there isn’t much to add in WP8 in form of customization so these exclusive feature will certainly play a very important role in the success of these new Sony Vaio windows phones.

We are not sure yet whether Sony Vaio Windows Phone will be successful or not but we know one thing that they will certainly raise the bar of competition in WP8 mobile market. At the moment we only see Nokia reigning the WP8 mobile industry and with time as more and more manufacturers will step in and take it seriously then we will certainly raise the bar of competition and we might see some great and quick improvement in WP8 OS itself.
