Google May Launch Intel Based Nexus 8

According to our sources Google may decide to quit the Nexus 7 for Nexus 8 in 2014. Well, this may come out as a huge surprise to many but after looking at the market competition and other 7 inch tablets available in the market it may appear that it is more of a business tactic from Google. Actually, there are multiple manufacturers offering budget 7 inches tablets and this has in fact bothered manufacturers like Google. And according to latest leaks it is expected that Google will ditch the Nexus 7 in favor of Nexus 8.

Moreover, the demand of next generation Nexus 7 is not as higher as it used to before. So, this has also played a major role and has forced Google to think over it. You can find brands like Asus, Samsung, Amazon Kindle Fire and many others in Walmart fighting in the 7 inch zone. And when you look at the competition you will only iPad mini and LG G Pad 8.3. If you analyse the market properly you will come to conclusion that it was the very reason Apple decided to go for an 8 inch iPad mini.

Moving ahead with the leaks, it is also expected that Google will go for Intel based processor. Though nothing has been finalized yet but Google opt for the latest Intel mobile hardware instead of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon. This does not mean that Qualcomm is out of the race. It is still going to be a tough competition between Intel and Qualcomm but our leaks suggests that we possibly see an Intel based Nexus 8 in2014.


It’s just the start of 2014 and we are having multiple leaks for different manufacturers. We will have to wait for some more time before we could get some legitimate news regarding Intel Based Nexus 8. So, keep your fingers crossed and see what Google has in store for you.
