Sony Xperia Z Ultra Wi-Fi only Version Tablet is Set to launch in Japan

Sony Xperia Z Ultra Wi-Fi only version
When we first heard about Sony Xperia Z Ultra we were quite surprised to see that it crossed all the boundaries of a true phablet. No one ever tried to cross the 6 inch barrier for the phablet and it was interesting to see Sony launching a phablet with 6.4 inch screen size. However, this device has finally entered the world of tablets officially.
We heard numerous rumors regarding Sony working on the Wi-Fi only version of the Sony Xperia Z Ultra version. According to an official announcement Sony Xperia Z Ultra Wi-Fi only version will hit the shelves in Japan on 24th January. This device is priced as ¥52,000 (~$499) in Japan and there is no news that whether it will be launched globally or it is exclusive for Japan.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra Wi-Fi only Version Specifications:

We all know how well Sony Xperia Z Ultra did and it was all due to the great processor and huge battery backup. Sony have stick with the same specifications for Sony Xperia Z Ultra Wi-Fi only version and to be honest on the paper this is the best tablet available in the market.
Sony Xperia Z Ultra Wi-Fi only version packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 8 MP primary shooter, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory and Adreno 330 graphics processor. On paper these specs look pretty good and looking at the present market you will not get any tablet with such great specifications. Sony Xperia Ultra Wi-Fi only version will get its juice from 3050 mAh battery and Sony has worked a lot on improving the software side to get the most out of this battery.
Well, the downside is that it will come out with Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and will be updated to Jelly Bean 4.3 and KitKat 4.4.1 with the updates which will follow very soon.
The interesting part is that it comes with 8 MP primary shooter without flash and this is what qualifies this device for the tablet region. Because as we all know all tablets lack a good camera but here the issue is that we do not have flash which will hamper the lowlight or night images.  However, the overall quality of camera in the daylight is pretty good and you will certainly love the way it performs in the daylight.

Talking about the market strategy Sony adapted for this is very interesting. Sony has now officially used the word tablet for Sony Xperia Z Ultra Wi-Fi only version. Sony played its card at the right time because right now no new tablet is available in the market and we do not expect a new tablet launching in next two months. This is in fact a great marketing strategy Sony opted for. This is the best time to make huge sales.
